Jenny Class of 2015 Senior Photography – Urban and Beach

Jenny was my fifth referral from one of my clients. It is so wonderful to get referrals. I do reward my client’s by giving complimentary sessions and wall portraits, too! It was such a gorgeous spring day during Jenny’s session. We started out in downtown Laguna and then went to South Laguna. An urban/beach session for a California girl. 114 Photoshop Logo004 Logo003I loved Jenny’s wardrobe. 006ADSC_3154 LogoADSC_3296 Logo 12x8ADSC_3285 LogoJenny Collage for blog rotated photobacks-ashbury-portrait-06Downtown Laguna is filled with great backdrops. 007033 Logo B&W Reflection in color PhotoshopADSC_3059 Logo128 logo014015

Megan – Vintage Cameras, High School Senior Portraits

During my consultation with Megan, I discovered her love of photography and got to see her fabulous collections of vintage cameras. What fun it was to include her cameras in her senior session at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. ADSC_2678 logoADSC_2724 LogoADSC_2937 Logo011 adjustmentI had fun with this image. Brittany – Class of 2014, Senior Photography

This senior session was very dear to me as the senior is my niece Brittany. She was visiting me from Oregon, and we planned out every detail of the shoot together. I took Brittany shopping for the clothes, shoes and jewelry to wear for her shoot (her early graduation gift). The turquoise dress, polka dotted dress and top with the blue flowers, I picked out. Brittany loved them. It does help that I do photograph so many senior sessions, and I keep up on what seniors like to wear. I confess to subscribing to Seventeen and Vogue Teen magazine. Love those sources for inspiration on all things teen!

The day of the shoot, we went to Blow Angels for hair and make-up. I gave Brittany the total pampering treatment. I wanted her to feel like a model getting ready for her photo shoot.

For the venue, we decided to do the shoot at my sister’s home. Her property is amazing with great backdrops. I put my sister and Brittany’s Dad (my brother) to work during the shoot. Holding lights and reflectors. It was very much a family affair (this is what I normally do in my senior sessions include the parents).

Brittany, her parents and I were very happy with the wonderful images that day.

Derek Class of 2014, High School Senior Photography

With some cool threads and boss locals like the Hollywood sign and Griffith Park Observatory (where “Rebel without a Cause” was filmed!), this James Dean inspired photo shoot was “made in the shade”!  Derek was a cool Daddy-O with a 50’s vintage style he has made his own.001A logo Facebook013 logo014_1 Logo Facebook001 Facebook006 Logo Facebook003 Muted color Facebook Logo007 Logo012_6554 Logo008 Logo Facebook009 Logo Facebook011 Facebook logo
