Kathryn LeBoye Got Married!!!

My wedding was filled with love, happiness as I married my best friend. This is our first chapter in our new life together as husband and wife. 027 logo

002 logoWe got married at the Old Orange County Courthouse in Santa Ana, the oldest courthouse in Southern California. It is a historical landmark. I saw it the first time last year when I photographed a family at the courthouse. I was enchanted by the architecture, and all the movies that have been filmed there as Mikko and I are movies buffs. I thought it was a good fit for us to get married. My photographer, Alyssa Michelle Photography really captured my vision. Magical Weddings – Orange County Wedding Photography

I had the most amazing workshop with Rick Ferro, a legend in wedding photography. He created the wedding department @ Disney World. An entire day spent with Rick was like a dream come true. We had models dressed in gorgeous gowns, hair and makeup beautifully done. I learned so much about lighting and posing. How hand placement properly done can really enhanced an image. It was such an inspirational day for me. Here are some of my favorite photos that I took.

These photos were taken inSanta Ana at City Place. So many great back drops to inspire us. It was a perfect over-cast day creating soft diffused light with only a silver reflector to bounce light on our bride’s face. Love the red and white contrast.

My first entry in my new blog. Thank you Andrea of Lucky 19 Branding for creating my wonderful new blog. This wedding that I photographed is very special to me as I have known the Bride, Val for a couple of years and have documented events in her life through my camera lens. Capturing her lovely wedding was a great experience for me. To see Val so happy with Charles was icing on the cake!!

 

Details at a wedding deliver the most breathtaking images. I love capturing the nostalgia of the day with shoes, rings, flowers, cake, etc. It is a visual narration of the day.

Vintage Bride! Val reminds me of a vintage Vogue magazine cover from the 1930′s! Very Art Deco! Love that we had her bedroom to create many wonderful images.

Flower Girl -Val’s flower girl is the groom’s lovely daughter, Charlie!  I always like keeping one thing in color and turning the rest of the image in to black and white. Charlie’s stunning hair wreath was perfect for keeping in color.

 

Very 1930 era! Love to do close-ups and profiles, too!

 

 

My favorite image of Val and Charles, This tree is very close to where they live. Val is very fond of this tree so it was important that we had this photo taken there.
