One Year Lived – Portraits of Adam Shepard

I had an opportunity to photograph author, Adam Shepard. He wrote One Year Lived. He had $25 in his pocket and dropped in a random city and had to survive on his wits. His goal was to get a job, find a place to live and at the end of year have $2500 in cash. I love the premise and getting to know Adam. After meeting with Adam, I decided that an urban location would be perfect and picked downtown Los Angeles. Here are some of my favorites.001002The above image was photographed at the new museum, The Broad. Great backdrop. 004Walt Disney Concert Hall is another great place to photograph with backdrops of the city.

Mission in San Juan Capistrano Family Photography for the Holidays

The first time I met Andrea was about three years ago to photograph her son, Josh for his senior session. Since then I have photographed the family several times. Josh has a beautiful girlfriend with the greatest smile. It was great addition to the family session to have her there. It maybe fall but the flowers were in full bloom at the Mission.

Urban Family Session at Walt Disney Concert Hall

Lovely Session with Dahlia and her beautiful family at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Urban shoots are so much fun. I really like the reflective backdrop of the concert hall. 074 LogoDahlia is the owner of Blow Angels where I get my hair done. I have gotten to know her really well. It was great working with her planning out the session. The above family image, Dahlia (what a great name) has ordered a canvas wrap for her wall. 001 LogoMy favorite image of Dahlia and her daughter, Farrah. 003 LogoBoys are so cute. 039 Logo 8x10047 LogoDahlia has gorgeous eyes!005 Logo

Urban High School Senior Girl – Samantha Class of 2015

Sam had already picked out the venue for her senior session. The Lab Anti Mall and Camp in Costa Mesa which is known for its hipster urban vibe. Her Mother googled Lab Anti Mall and found photos from Kathryn LeBoye Photography taken of High School Seniors. She loved the images and set up an appointment for a consultation where we went over Sam’s wardrobe and set a date.

Jenny was my fifth referral from one of my clients. It is so wonderful to get referrals. I do reward my client’s by giving complimentary sessions and wall portraits, too! It was such a gorgeous spring day during Jenny’s session. We started out in downtown Laguna and then went to South Laguna. An urban/beach session for a California girl. 114 Photoshop Logo004 Logo003I loved Jenny’s wardrobe. 006ADSC_3154 LogoADSC_3296 Logo 12x8ADSC_3285 LogoJenny Collage for blog rotated photobacks-ashbury-portrait-06Downtown Laguna is filled with great backdrops. 007033 Logo B&W Reflection in color PhotoshopADSC_3059 Logo128 logo014015
