Sara lives in Kansas and had heard about me from her California cousin. We had multiple phone calls to plan out her senior session during her visit to Southern California. Sara wanted to be photographed at the beach. I described to Sara some of the backdrops we would have besides the beach and ocean, a gorgeous home, weathered wooden stairs, rocks, etc…. here are the results….When Sara saw her images she wrote me, “I love them all” Your work is fantastic!!! “You do magical work and I am beyond blessed to have found you”. Which made me extremely happy. The above image is my personal favorite!!! It is so dreamy and Sara’s Mother just ordered a 20×24 Gallery wrap of this image!!!
When I met with Tracy, I learned that she had a love for writing and skateboarding & she wanted me to photograph her in Laguna Beach. After seeing Tracy’s skateboard, I wanted to incorporate that in the shoot. I suggested besides the beach we shoot in the urban area of Laguna. We did the beach and the village in Laguna Beach. It was a beautiful day and we captured images that Tracy and her family loved.Earlier in the shoot, I saw that Tracy had these cool aviator glasses and I had to use them.
First, I love the name Brooke. I met Brooke in her family at their Huntington Beach home to plan out Brooke’s session. Brooke knew she wanted flower hair wreaths for the shoot. She even made one of them. One fine summer day in August, we met in Laguna Beach. Here are the results:
The above image is so dreamy. The above image is a perfect structure to frame Brooke. The image below had great rocks and I backed out most of the color. It is my favorite image from the shoot. Brooke’s Mother, Brother and Boyfriend were at the shoot. In the above image, Brooke is looking at her boyfriend. This was the last image of the shoot.
One Saturday afternoon, I went with my lovely Step-daughter, Hayley to pick out her prom dress. We went to so many places and just as we were about to give up, we went in to Lili’s of Beverly Hills. The moment Hayley slipped into this gown, we knew it was the one that looked great on her & she felt special in it.
Hayley and JP have known each other since they were three months old and met in a Mommy and Me class. Although they’re not dating, they are good friends. We did your typical backyard photos but at a gorgeous home in Pacific Palisades that looked more like a park. Last photo is father and daughter together!!!
Sam had already picked out the venue for her senior session. The Lab Anti Mall and Camp in Costa Mesa which is known for its hipster urban vibe. Her Mother googled Lab Anti Mall and found photos from Kathryn LeBoye Photography taken of High School Seniors. She loved the images and set up an appointment for a consultation where we went over Sam’s wardrobe and set a date.
One very hot day in April, we met for Sam’s session along with her Mom, Grandmother and Aunt. Who were beaming about how beautiful Samantha looked during the shoot.
Sam will start her freshman year out at the University of Hawaii this fall. Great wardrobe, cute dresses, shoes, etc….
