Family Portraits in the Park
Wonderful photo shoot with this lovely family. It was a gorgeous day and the kids were in great moods. In the above family photos, we did some head switching. As much as you try get great expression on each family members it can be a challenge. I always let all my clients know that I can switch the heads to get that perfect family portrait.
Just got a new prop, the colorful pouf that I had the boys sit on. Always fun to add new items in to my shoots.
Jimenez Family Shoot 2011 – Laguna Niguel
So much to blog but so little time. It my favorite time of the year, meeting new families and photographing clients that I have not seen in a couple of years. I love this session of the Jimenez family as I have photographed the youngest, Noah, when he was a baby. I keep in touch with his Mother on Facebook. She had been wanting a family portrait for awhile. The light was very beautiful in the park. The kids were so well behaved. A delight to photograph!
I love using furniture outdoors, it gives the family portrait a unique look.
Whimsical Family Portraits for the Holidays!
I have been longing to do use a sofa outdoors in my family portraits. My goal for this holiday season was to make my dream come true. It was quite an undertaking; first I had to get permission from Laguna Niguel Regional Park to bring a sofa to their lovely park, then I had to find the perfect sofa, rent a truck and get the families to do the shoot. I found THE sofa and seven families. My families were so excited and loved the concept! I have gotten such a great response to their images. They’re so unique and everybody is using them as their holiday cards. A big thank you to Diane @ Laguna Niguel Regional Park, my awesome boyfriend Mikko, for assisting me that weekend and our friend Brian (I made those guys move that sofa all over the park until I found the perfect spot).

I photographed a set of two twins that weekend. These good looking young men and one year old girls!

So cute! Love the expression on the baby's face. I'm so happy with the pillows I picked out for the sofa.

This pillow is as big as the baby which I like to show a lot in my photography. They're only tiny for so long!
Family Photography: The Magic of the Moment
I just saw the rough cut of my family video, and AHA Image Studio http://www.ahaimagestudios.com/has done an amazing job of capturing the fun experience of a family shoot. I really wanted my potential clients to see what goes on during a family shoot. This video captures it. Scott & Shelly (the owners of AHA Image Studio), spent so much time with me going over my vision for the video. Thank you AHA Image Studio for such a great experience. My video will be ready in mid-July. I can’t wait!
