Becky and Brendan got married at the Old Orange County Courthouse in Santa Ana. This historical landmark is special to my heart as I got married there three years ago. Black and white image of the bouquet is perfection. Love that their son could be there to see his parents get married.
A lovely couple, Dagmar and Garry, from Hong Kong bought a charming cottage in Laguna Beach as their second home. They asked me to photograph them at their home & their favorite place to walk along the beach.
Love how the pillow below has their names along with all romantic couples fictional and real. So romantic!!!Amazing views from their deck. My favorite image from the session. The look of love on Garry’s face is captured forever!!
I had the pleasure of photographing my Brother’s wedding to his lovely bride Kirsten in Portland, Oregon at McMenamins Edgefield, a gorgeous setting. The wedding was very much a family affair. My sister, Lara, got ordained to marry Tobin & Kirsten. Kirsten’s cousin, Rickey designed the flowers and Kirsten’s niece, Ashleigh did the hair and make-up. McMenamins Edgefield has a vineyard. A perfect setting for photographing the rings. Great image and I got to eat grapes right off the vine!!The day before the wedding, I walked the grounds of McMenamins Edgefield and was enchanted by these birdhouses and knew that would be a perfect setting for the Bride’s Dress. I got up at sunrise and had my sister hold an off camera flash to illuminate the dress. I just love this image. The water tower and this garden shed was another great backdrop for the Bride’s dress.Suitcase belongs to the Bride’s Aunt. Of course I had to use it!!! Love vintage!!My sister-in-law looked GORGEOUS on her wedding day. This image is so dreamy of Kirsten. IOne of my favorite images of Kirsten. I put this look together the night before the wedding as I was inspired to use another light source besides natural light or a flash. We were staying in a house on the grounds of McMenamins Edgefield. I saw these velvet drapes that looked so dramatic, I dragged the chair and lamp from other rooms. Next day got this great image of the bride. Here is my handsome brother! The very happy Bride and Groom! These photos are my wedding gift to my brother and my beautiful new sister-in-law, Kirsten of their special day.
Denise and Scott were on their honeymoon. They had gotten married the day before in Utah. Their shoot is all about romance. I met them in Laguna Beach and my first stop was at one of my favorite doors. Can’t beat having a couple kiss under a sign “Always kiss me Goodnight”. When I had enough photos of them kissing, I had to ask a couple of times for them to stop kissing. They were so in to each other. It was very sweet. They were very excited with the high tide and stunned by the beauty of the beach I picked. There was very few people at this beach and it was perfect weather, too.
Nice to see my brother, Tobin and his girlfriend, Kirsten who are visiting from Oregon. Tobin is here to promote his new book, Everyday Meditation (by Tobin Blake), please visit his website to learn more about this great book, http://www.tobinblake.com/. I was fortunate to go to a book signing and a meditation class led by Tobin. A proud sister!
I decided to do a photo shoot of both Tobin and Kirsten. It was a quick shoot in an alley not too far from my home about 30 minutes before the sunset.
Tobin is using the above photo on his website. Love this alley for its gorgeous trees. The above is one of my favorite images. I told them to hug each like they would never see each other again.
