Holiday Portraits for Children

Erin and Jack’s annual holiday portraits took place this year at the Pier in Santa Monica. ADSC_8268 LogoThese images of Erin were taken under the pier and the light was beautiful. 002Underneath the pier are all these orange boats. Great backdrop for Jack.
003080I love all the intense colors at the pier. 006Jack is 10 years older than Erin. There is a real height difference so I had to keep that in mind when posing them. 009Sunset Image! Perfect backdrop with Ferris wheel and pier.

Hailey’s 1st Birthday Photos

How wonderful to be able to capture Hailey’s First Birthday. Last year, I photographed Hailey’s newborn session and the year just flew by quickly. Hailey’s is beautiful, adorable and loved very much by big brother Jonathan and her parents. 001 Hailey002 Hailey 8x10 croppedWith the help of Hailey’s Mom, we documented Hailey’s first year on this chalkboard.

Lacey and Lauren – Twin Photography

Lacey and Lauren’s annual photography session. Always a pleasure photographing these sweet and beautiful twins. Their Mother always has such gorgeous dresses, jewelry, shoes, etc. for them to wear. Just loved their dresses. 001 Logo Photoshop009 PhotoshopWe photographed at their home. I brought a backdrop that would compliment the colors of their dresses. 010 PhotoshopI also brought this pink chair which Lacey is sitting in. I really do plan out the session prior to the shoot. 012 Photoshop093 Photoshop003 PhotoshopLacey is the taller of the two sisters. They’re not identical twins.

Best Photos of 2014

After votes from clients, friends and family they decided on the Best Photos of 2014 that I took. The number one image with the most votes was this gorgeous portrait of Sophia sitting in a window at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. It had 29 votes because of those votes she is receiving a 16×20 wall portrait to cherish forever.

001 LogoTwo images were tied for second place, adorable Baby Moana and precious Emma.001 Logo003 logo

Third place was one of my favorites from the year, Baby Christopher’s feet. The comments on this image:  So unique – makes you study it! and Very artistic.001The last image with a lot of votes was Baby Lexi in a crate. Her image had the most comments of any of the photos:

I love this little girl sitting in the box. The colors are bright but blend together really well. I like how one of the flowers on her headband matches the color of the box. Her pose is so casual natural for a toddler. She holding onto the box, but not gripping it for dear life. She looks like she’s playing. I like having the autumn too because I think everyone has that picture of playing in a pile of leaves. And toothless smiles are just too cute!ADSC_0258 LogoOk – I had to vote for this one because the second I saw it I felt happy! The little darling looks as though she is having a great time and the picture is a great mix of nature, textures, light, cuteness and really could not be more perfect! I hope I don’t mess you up because I’m going to like 2 more – but this is my favorite GREAT WORK!!!

OMG!!!! That is the most precious picture ever!!!! You are AWESOME! What a gift you have with children.

Thank you to all my clients for inspiring my photography to create some very unique images. I am looking forward to 2015!!
