Lacey and Lauren’s annual photography session. Always a pleasure photographing these sweet and beautiful twins. Their Mother always has such gorgeous dresses, jewelry, shoes, etc. for them to wear. Just loved their dresses. We photographed at their home. I brought a backdrop that would compliment the colors of their dresses. I also brought this pink chair which Lacey is sitting in. I really do plan out the session prior to the shoot. Lacey is the taller of the two sisters. They’re not identical twins.
After votes from clients, friends and family they decided on the Best Photos of 2014 that I took. The number one image with the most votes was this gorgeous portrait of Sophia sitting in a window at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. It had 29 votes because of those votes she is receiving a 16×20 wall portrait to cherish forever.
Third place was one of my favorites from the year, Baby Christopher’s feet. The comments on this image: So unique – makes you study it! and Very artistic. The last image with a lot of votes was Baby Lexi in a crate. Her image had the most comments of any of the photos:
I love this little girl sitting in the box. The colors are bright but blend together really well. I like how one of the flowers on her headband matches the color of the box. Her pose is so casual natural for a toddler. She holding onto the box, but not gripping it for dear life. She looks like she’s playing. I like having the autumn too because I think everyone has that picture of playing in a pile of leaves. And toothless smiles are just too cute!Ok – I had to vote for this one because the second I saw it I felt happy! The little darling looks as though she is having a great time and the picture is a great mix of nature, textures, light, cuteness and really could not be more perfect! I hope I don’t mess you up because I’m going to like 2 more – but this is my favorite GREAT WORK!!!
OMG!!!! That is the most precious picture ever!!!! You are AWESOME! What a gift you have with children.
I have been photographing Chloe since she was five years old. That is what I love about my job is seeing children blossom before my very eyes. I enjoy working with Chloe’s Mom as she has such great taste in planning out Chloe’s wardrobe. Now that Chloe is 10 years old she has a say on what to wear for her photo shoots. She picked out the plaid shirt, jeans and boots. We photographed at the Los Rios District in historical San Juan Capistrano. It is one of the oldest areas in California dating back to late 1700’s and early 1800’s.
There are so many fabulous backdrops in Los Rios. The the vivid red in the image above just adds some pop, and the bench in the below image had perfect lighting.
I did some off camera lighting with a filter to look like the sun. I look forward to photographing Chloe next year.
