There is nothing more flattering than having been personally selected by a teenager to photograph the puppy she got for Christmas. Maddie is so in love with her dog, Paige. I had a wonderful time photographing Maddie and Paige. Yellow mustard flowers were in full blown.
In October, I had my mini sessions for the holidays at The Mission in San Juan Capistrano. I photographed a baby with his parents, families and children over two days. Baby Ben is six months old and cannot stand so I put him between his parent’s feet to show how small he is at this age. One of my favorite images.
Expression is very important in photography. What a great expression on Baby’s Ben face.Love the above image. Fun to do a different look for family portraiture. The Mission has lots of windows and doors perfect for creating interesting family portraits. Lighting is very important in my photography. I’m always looking for where the light is and in this photo it was bouncing off a white wall to her left, illuminating the hair. Young teen in window = cute photo! This is Chloe, whom I did entire blog on her photos from the Mission session.
Every year, I photograph Chloe, and her Mother is great about planning out Chloe’s wardrobe. We had three changes of clothes, shoes, head bands, etc… The entire shoot from start to finish was one hour!! We were hopping!!! The above is one of my favorite images as I like Chloe’s expression and I popped a light to illuminate her gorgeous hair.I always like to do close-ups, love the light in Chloe’s eyes. All natural light.
This dress is perfect against this door. Chloe looks so beautiful. She is staring at her Mother. Very sweet.
